The Internal Revenue Service announced today tax relief for individuals and businesses in the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes in northeastern Montana affected by a severe winter storm and straight-line winds that occurred between Dec. 17, 2025 and Dec.18, 2025.

As a result, affected individuals and businesses will have until Sept. 28, 2026, to file returns and pay any taxes that were originally due during this period.
